ET was with "JAG"'s own DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT and CATHERINE BELL as they embarked on a dangerous mission right in the middle of an Afghanistan battleground for tonight's nail-biting episode!
Did the stars really risk life and limb to travel to the war-torn country for their TV series? "No -- we're really in Valencia, CA," Elliott told ET -- a tribute to the set designers of the hot CBS show!
On tonight's action-packed episode, "In Country," the two brave TV heroes check out a "collateral damage" incident in Afghanistan, when an attack on some terrorists kills three civilians. "The various government agencies aren't really sharing information," Elliott revealed, "so we're sent out to investigate what happened. Our primary mission is to investigate the CIA's pursuit of the #2 terrorist in the world."
The dynamite duo get a little banged up as well -- when their Humvee explodes after hitting a landmine. "We're out driving, and a long haired goat wanders in front of us ... Mac swerves to miss it, I get thrown out of the Humvee, and hit a landmine ... then we're stuck. We have to get out of there!"
Elliott also told ET that this is a can't miss episode because "it leads up to the last episode of the year, which is a cliffhanger and that's all I'm going to say!"
TRISHA YEARWOOD also returns as forensic pathologist Commander Teresa Coulter, who happens to be in the area working with the troops.
For a VIP sneak preview of tonight's "JAG" don't miss ET. "JAG" airs at 8 p.m. on CBS.
