"I have to stay informed because I'm on a military drama that's dealing with the current world events, but I don't want to watch and read so much about it that it ruins my every day," she declares. The actress, of Iranian and British descent, says she got a hefty dose of reality while on location shooting an episode for the show last season. "I was there when the John C. Stennis aircraft carrier was deployed to Afghanistan and there were all these women and children and soldiers crying because they didn't know when they'd see each other again.
